Artist Statement

From the Rust Belt and raised on an Appalachian background, I love to focus on life as it comes, regardless of appeal.  Much of my artistic work focuses on observing American decay, especially in the communities which built up its beauty but were left behind.  As such, much of my artistic work is un-posed and taken in the moment; reflecting the snapshots of memories people carry with them throughout their lives.  My professional work however still maintains much of the art style of my other works, and I pride myself on being able to maintain my own 'look' in a sea of shifting styles and trends.  I hope to continue my work well into the future, regardless of the cost it brings me.
